What is Acura’s Certified Pre-Owned Warranty?

Whenever you purchase a pre-owned Acura vehicle, you want some guarantee that it won’t cost you a fortune down the road. This is where warranties come into play. Before we even discuss what warranties come with each Acura model, it’s important that you understand the different types. One of them usually covers your powertrain or anything relating to your engine. Should it overheat, malfunction, or even breakdown within the allotted number of years, then you won’t have to pay a large sum of money out of pocket to get it fixed. Because this is perhaps the most important aspect of your vehicle, it typically lasts the longest. The second kind of warranty is usually referred to as a non-powertrain warranty, which covers everything else except the powertrain. The same goes for your interior!

Each of our Acura certified pre-owned vehicles come with two of a possible three warranties, the first of which is a powertrain warranty for up to seven years^* or 100,000 total miles, whichever comes first. If the Acura you have chosen to take home is still within its New Vehicle Warranty, then your non-powertrain coverage will be five years^*/62,000 miles. When that expires, you’ll receive a one year^**/12,000 miles warranty instead. No matter where you go or what unexpected problems you may encounter on your travels, you’ll be completely covered!
